And her relationship is hanging on by a thread. It also means she's forced to live apart from her family and her longtime girlfriend while she's deployed in Afghanistan. Not with her job, per se, but with the demands the Army puts on her life, which include, in the era of Don't Ask Don't Tell, that she hides a very big part of who she is. But she's also in the army to continue a family legacy of military service. Sabine Fleicsher wanted to be a surgeon from a very young age, and she's realizing that dream, in part, because the US Army is paying off her medical school tuition. Continuing to catch up on my reviews of EJ Noyes' books, I should probably devote some words to the first book of hers I read, Ask, Tell, the first of a three-book series. ![]()
